Did You Know U.S. Census Data Helps Identify Racial Inequality?

Dallas County Counts

Juneteenth Is a Day to Reflect

On Juneteenth, we honor America’s African-American culture and support equal treatment for all.

Filling out the U.S. Census is an important way minorities can make themselves count. Data from the U.S. Census helps lawmakers better understand whether different racial groups have equal access to things like housing, education, employment and other services.

What Is Juneteenth?

Juneteenth is a day set aside to celebrate and commemorate emancipation from slavery in the U.S. On June 19, 1865, slavery was ended in Texas, the last Confederate state to do so.

Don’t let the U.S. Census pass you by. Get counted! Make a difference.
